Kanoi studied at the Wind Ninja Academy when he was young, as an air ninja, alongside his brother
Kiya. That was where he met Miko. Kanoi had no difficulty in standing against Kiya when he turned on them, and watched stoically
as he was banished from the earth.
Kanoi married fellow student Miko, and they had a son together, Cameron. Miko died not long
after, and Kanoi was left to raise him alone. He inherited the Wind Academy
and became Master Sensei, and he devoted his life to running it, raising his son there but not allowing him to participate
in any of the training. Kanoi did his best, but although he and Cameron grew close, there was always a gap of misunderstanding
between them.
It was over twenty years after Kiya was banished, when he returned to the Wind Academy, as Lothor.
He and his followers launched an attack and destroyed the academy, capturing nearly all the students, and trapping Kanoi into
the form of a guinea pig.
But that didn't deter him much, he knew what he had to do. He gave the Wind Morphers to the
three remaining students, and sent them on their way. Although the decision seemed unwise, and Cameron voiced his doubts,
Kanoi had seen the prophecy, and he knew the power had chosen the three long before.
Kanoi was always there for the rangers when needed, even the Thunder Rangers when they arrived,
never without a word of wisdom for each of them. He and Cam's relationship grew even more strained over time, with Kanoi out
of human form and Cam wanting to join the fight against Lothor. But then it took a turn, and by the end they were closer than
they'd ever been, running the Academy together.
During the final battle against Lothor, Kanoi was restored to human form accidentally, Lothor's
magic working against him. Kanoi watched with pride as he students sent Lothor into the Abyss of Evil, finally mastering their
elemental powers. Nothing made him happier than giving each of them their certificates of graduation, and handing the teaching
of his new students to them.

Cyber Cam wasn't a welcome addition to Ninja Ops at first, he had his circuits just a little
twisted . . . Tying Cam up in a closet and posing as him, leaving a very confused team when "Cam" ditched them in the middle
of a fight. But it was all cleared up eventually.
Cam created his cyber-self after many sleepless nights in Ninja Ops trying to do all the repairs
and maintenance himself. Not only did he not have time to do anything he wanted to, but he didn't have time to do anything
he needed to either. So his solution was to invent another self to do some of the work for him. But as often happens when
one ventures into these experiments, the first try had it's problems.
However, after a few adjustments, Cyber Cam fit right in at Ninja Ops, and the team learned
not only to appreciate having him around, but to enjoy it as well. Cyber Cam is the exact opposite of his creator, and the
source for much amusement around the place. He's also an amazing fighter and knows just as much about computers as Cam himself.
Although he gets on everyone's nerves at least once, they all still probably wonder what they ever did without him.

Kelly is undoubtedly the best boss ever. She runs Storm Chargers, the sports equipment store
where Dustin and the Thunder Rangers work, and her patience when they don't show for work or have to leave suddenly makes
one wonder if she didn't have any idea what was going on.
She also sponsors the young athletes through Storm Chargers, allowing them to compete in matches
otherwise unavailable, and Kelly is always there to lend a helping hand or give support whenever she's needed. So aside from
being an unbelievable boss, she's also an amazing friend.

Miko Watanabe was the wife of Kanoi, and the mother of Cam. When she was young she studied in
the art of the Samurai, and was the first girl admitted into the Wind Ninja Academy, where she met Kanoi, along with his brother
Kiya.
Miko was a quiet, kind person, with honor for everyone as well as for ancient traditions. The
Samurai Amulet was passed on to her through many generations, and was her most treasured possession. When Kiya turned against
the Academy trying to get it, she unknowingly passed it on to her son, somehow knowing it was meant to be.
Sadly, Miko died when Cam was very young, leaving Kanoi to raise him alone. Before she passed,
she made him promise not to train their son as a ninja, a strange demand for one of warrior blood and gift. No one knows why
she made him promise that, but as Cam made his own decisions and became what he did, no one could doubt that she would be
proud of him anyway.
